FAQS
Q. How long does it take for timber to dry?
The drying time for most timber depends on the type of timber it is and the environment that it is kept in. Here in Central Otago we have a great environment that allows us to bring the moisture contect down to around 12% once properly air dried. However, it typically takes between 1 and a half to 2 years for the timber to be ready for use.

Q. How much does a slab cost?
Many people want to know the cost of our timber, however its very hard to value our live edge slabs just on there volume. The price does vary with size, but also on species, defects in the slabs, particular rare characteristics such as spalting, burling, compression timber and unusual features.
We do stock such a wide variety of slabs that we aim to have something for every budget out there!
Q.Can you ship slabs around New Zealand?
Definitely! Once you've purchased a slab, we will package it with a high impact foam and wrap cardboard around the product to ensure it doesn't get damaged during transport. We can ship any size slab around the nation once you're completely satisfied with the particular piece you want. We always recommend trying to see the slabs in person before buying, but thats not to say ee cant set up a live video to go through our stock.
